no you will not. there are many arabs and muslims in my last university and i do not recall any of them having a hard time in school for any reason. lebanese make up the biggest percent of arab population in the US and many of them live in the los angeles and san francisco. they are mostly students also so you should not have any problems.
Probably, either in your presence, or after you’ve left the room. Being Muslim is one thing, being Arabic, quite another. I would present myself as what your are, an American of Lebanese descent.
I wouldn’t promote being an Arab ANYWHERE in the South and Southwestern states at all. We haven’t exited either Iraq or Afghanistan gracefully or successfully yet-things can still go terribly wrong because of Arabic and Iranian actions.
If something happened to the USA by Arab hands, even if it was the Iranians who are Persian, your ethnicity could be a liability.
Not too many Jews emphasized their Jewishness in Nazi Germany, if you catch my drift.
Probably, but don’t let it affect you either way. It’s nothing personal Arabs just seem to be public enemy number one in America today.
no come to berkeley califonia CAL BERKELEY IS MAINLY ASIANS! and middle easterns, you guys are the hot shots around there…
Faculty and students don’t make fun of Arabs as long as they toe the line and take out their own garbage.
Not that I know of.
